The Shorncliffe Pier is 140 years old, and an Icon of the Sandgate, Deagon, Brighton and Shorncliffe District. It is currently closed due to benign neglect by successive Councils and needs to be restored to its original glory. These pages will keep all updated on the restoration progress of the Pier as well as providing articles of interest, memories, and history about the Pier (Photo compliments of Glen Smith Photography)

I totally agree with that previous comment, shows that very little maintenance has ever been carried out
